Purpose:
- Create a short, high definition video (~ 2 min) to help potential AAUW Redlands donors and event sponsors better understand and emotionally engage with our mission and outcomes, with the goal of motivating increased donations.
- Edit short audio/video clips (3 – 10 sec each) from gathered scholarship recipient video footage and audio testimonials that can be included in AAUW Redlands' social media posts.
Potential Scope:
- Script, edit, and produce a concise, impactful short video commercial that motivates community donations, in alignment with AAUW Redlands branding and using graphics, captions, etc. where appropriate to convey an inspiring message
- Through discussions with key AAUW Redlands leaders, gain a solid understanding of our mission and the scholarship opportunities that deploy this mission into our local community
- Interview/film scholarship recipients to create a compelling story of why donors should invest in AAUW Redlands
- Attend two STEM Conferences to source footage and testimonials of attendees’ experiences and how participation may impact their future (Thursday, Jan 8 and Wednesday, Feb 25, 2026; approximately 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. per event)
- Interview/film past Tech Trek attendees to source personal testimonials of how participation has motivated personal excellence. Confirm approval to use footage/audio from <18 yr old scholars.
- AAUW Redlands does not have software nor technology available to support this endeavor, therefore student can use their own preferred and accessible resources to complete the project.
- Seek video completion by March 20, 2026. High-definition format preferred.
Student Benefits

- Can use final product(s) for resume and to build positive references for future employment
- AAUW Redlands operates locally, therefore all member interactions can be conducted either locally in person, via online meetings, or over the phone and email.
Student Skills Desired
- Likes to engage with others to proactively solicit and complete scholar interviews for video inclusion. Supports these efforts with crisp written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on experience creating, editing and producing videos that succinctly and effectively convey a desired message
- A self-motivated student with strong project management skills who likes to work independently, while staying aligned with the project stakeholder for video content input and progress updates
- Self-sources and provides the technology required for project completion.
- Understands how stellar pro-bono work will benefit their portfolio and references for pursuit of future career interests
