Internship Title: Communications & Writing Intern

Reports to: Program Manager
Location: Hybrid (Inland Empire-based preferred)
Commitment: 10–15 hours/week for 3 months
Starts & Ends: June - August 2025
Stipend: $1,500
About the Role:
Arts Connection seeks a creative and mission-driven Communications & Writing Intern to support storytelling, public relations, and written communications. The intern will contribute to newsletters, blog posts, press releases, artist features, and grant communications that reflect the diversity and impact of our arts programs across San Bernardino County.
This project-based learning internship is eligible for college credit. If you pursue college credit, you are eligible to obtain an additional stipend. Arts Connection can support you in learnig more about this route.
Ideal Candidate Has:
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Interest in storytelling, community-centered work, and the arts
- Experience with WordPress, Mailchimp, or similar platforms (preferred but not required)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Spanish bilingual skills a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft compelling written content for newsletters, websites, social media, and press outreach
- Assist with editing and proofreading public-facing materials
- Support documentation of artist residencies, programs, and community events
- Research and write artist spotlights, grant updates, and feature stories
- Contribute to the creation of messaging that reflects organizational values of equity, access, and creativity
